Our lab studies the immune response of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and the interface between the immune system and the central nervous system. The etiology behind many neurodevelopmental disorders is unknown, but genetic and environmental risk factors have been identified, as well as altered immune function. The work in our lab focuses on characterizing the immune response in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and identifying environmental factors that may lead to altered neurodevelopment.
